Volunteers are essential for the delivery of the SCCA’s community services to elderly members of the Spanish-speaking community in Sydney. As a volunteer, you will gain practical experience working in the social services sector and personal satisfaction from helping people in need. Students of Español will have the opportunity to practice your language skills and form relationships with Spanish-speaking Australians.

Volunteers for the SCCA will receive training and support to provide any the following services for a few hours each week.

• Collaborating in the weekly social groups
• Providing social support through home/nursing home visits to SCCA members
• Accompanying members to appointments

Volunteers need to be over 18 years old, and require a minimum commitment of 3 months.
